Launching Spring 2021!

We’re excited to invite you to our Reflecting Life by Dr. Robin Revis Pyke podcast coming soon! Together, we’ll engage in authentic conversations on faith, family, friends, and life. It is my hope that each episode reminds you – YOU are not alone!

I’ll be your host; your trusted confidant, guide, and mentor. It’s here that you’ll find a community of ambitious, authentic Christ-centered female go-getters who are serious about growing their faith. We’ll discuss topics pertinent to your life and your current season as we explore questions from our listeners such as

  • Who am I and what am I supposed to do with my life?
  • What if I fail or make the wrong choice?
  • How do I know God is leading me?
  • I don’t feel good enough or smart enough.
  • What if they say no? What if they reject me?
  • Life should not be like this. I thought it would be easier.
  • I want to know things will be OK.
  • I feel so much pressure from others to perform and achieve.

Each week, I’ll look forward to sharing questions and input from our community with our listeners as we walk through life together. This podcast is for YOU and about YOU!

Interested in joining our launch team? Send me an email and I’ll be happy to share more!

All we see is what is directly in front of us, and All we see is what is directly in front of us, and when we rely upon our own power, we exhaust ourselves to the point of defeat. Or we choose to cry out to God to save us from our self-defeating behaviors. Which scenario describes you? I’ve experienced both, perhaps as recently as last month (grimace).
Sometimes, I think it’s easy to lose sight of ho Sometimes, I think it’s easy to lose sight of hope, certainly in the current state of affairs. The noise and daily struggles can be exhausting for anyone. Whether it’s family situations, jobs, finances, health, or injustices committed around the world and in our communities, it can be hard to hold on to the idea that there is anything for which to hope. We just can’t fathom how God will show up and pull us through. And as we lose hope, we become weak and weary.⁣

The people of Israel in the Old Testament period felt much the same way. At times they felt utterly hopeless. Prophets would rise up and call them to repentance, proclaiming a future of hope and restoration. But again, they would fall back into their disobedience and fail to follow God. They were walking in darkness.⁣
⁣
Then the silence broke with the cry of a newborn baby boy. Jesus, Immanuel. God in the flesh.
God will liberally supply your need. Not just a li God will liberally supply your need. Not just a little, but He will abundantly supply your need according to His will. Are these words encouraging to you? They inspire me, and I would like to encourage you to focus on the beauty of life this holiday and offer thanks to God for continually providing for your needs. Let’s overflow with an abundance of hope!
No judgment. I have those days when I feel that li No judgment. I have those days when I feel that life is passing me by, or I think that I’ve missed an opportunity, or maybe I’m not following God’s will. When these thoughts start to swirl in my over-imaginative mind, they can trigger my fears, and my strength begins to waver. In a panic, I try to control my circumstances and depend upon my own strength, which means I no longer rely on God. There’s only one way to describe the outcome when I am running in my own strength, disaster in the making, and it’s not pretty.

I’m not dismissing the dream in your heart. We a I’m not dismissing the dream in your heart. We all have dreams and visions. But it’s essential as we plan and dream that we take into consideration the opportunities before us. You know the saying, bloom where you are planted. These words remind us to be content in all circumstances and enjoy our current season, however challenging it may be. God may be pruning us, or He may have planted us so that we can sprout and grow. Whatever the season, we are encouraged to be content and trust in Him.
