About

Hello! I’m Robin–the face and the heart behind Robinality and The Reflecting Life Community. I also answer to Pink Robin, Dr. Pyke, RRP, Rob, and my favorite title, Mom! I can’t wait to connect and reflect with you. Before we polish our shine, how about a little introduction?

My background is diverse, but my mission has never been stronger.

I’ve done a lot of things, but every one of my experiences, from interior design to enrollment management and from leading to mentoring, has contributed to what drives me now: the desire to connect women with their stories and empower them.

Sharing our stories connects us, and through our connections we find purpose. My numerous years spent in admissions allowed me the opportunity to explore the phenomenon of acceptance and belonging and the fear of non-acceptance. Acceptance begins with believing in who we are and whose we are.

As for credentials, I have a few, and each one has shaped who I am in a unique way.

I studied interior design for nearly four years before changing my focus to interpersonal and group communications. It was during my studies at Trinity International University that I fell in love with the study of God’s word. From there I continued my education at Barry University. I delved into mentoring, specifically, women mentoring women, and found my passion for mentoring. In 2009, I founded an online community for women’s doctoral student support, and I’ve continued to coach and mentor both contemporaries and students worldwide for nearly two decades!

These days, I continue investing in the passions ignited in me in earlier years.

I am a passionate servant leader. I love to volunteer, and I am blessed to serve my community. But it’s my family that instills meaning into all of my experiences, offering me a soft place to land, a safe place to process, and a joyful community to celebrate. My husband, Scott, is my greatest supporter, and together we have raised three pretty amazing sons. Although I spent what I refer to as my sabbatical in beautiful Chatham, Virginia, I migrated back to sunny Clermont, FL, which is where we call home.

What’s in a name? A lot more than you might think!

I’m a researcher by background and by nature, so I had to smile when I discovered the meaning of my name, Robin, which is German for bright and shining. I love that my name is reflective, calling me to let my light shine for His glory! I’ve also read that people with my name possess a deep inner desire for a loving community and a need to work with others. Yep, that would be me! If I had to sum up my mission, the force that propels me, it would be this: creating a loving community where women are free to let their lights shine.

I believe we are all works in progress, being formed and fashioned into the most beautiful, powerful versions of ourselves.

Through faith and relationships and our reflection on them both, our resolve and mission will only deepen over time. That’s why this season of life–one in which many might shrink back for fear of lost identity–is prime for us to step boldly forward in discovering ourselves, offering what we find to the world. To blossom, to overflow and to share the culmination of our experiences with others.

No matter what your name, age, background, or life experience is about, this place is for you.

I want nothing more than for YOU to step away feeling confident, connected, supported, and inspired–inspired to reflect on the light He’s placed inside you, and equipped to let it shine! That’s what I’m here for, and I would love for you to stick around for the journey.

You have the power to enhance lives– not just your own, but those around you. I believe in that power. I see gold inside of you. And that’s why I’m here. Will you join me?

Let’s shine!

We are forgiven. I’m am so thankful each and eve We are forgiven. I’m am so thankful each and every day because God has forgiven me. I am also blessed when I am forgiven by my friends and family. I am not perfect, and YOU are not perfect – surprise!
Is there someone in your life you need to forgive Is there someone in your life you need to forgive or show grace to?
Connection begins with acceptance. Just as Christ Connection begins with acceptance. Just as Christ has accepted each of us, we must accept one another. No judgement, no criteria, no hesitation. Christ welcomed us into His family with all our mistakes, baggage, and weaknesses, so we too must reach out and be accepting of one another.
If so, what has stopped you from reaching out and If so, what has stopped you from reaching out and accepting this person? Take a moment to reflect and respond to whoever you believe God is calling you to accept into His family.
I imagine the back and forth motion of movement, h I imagine the back and forth motion of movement, harmoniously moving in rhythm to create a beautiful work of art. Isn’t this what our relationships are about: a harmonious rhythm creating friendships that will strengthen us and allow for deeper connections?
