I have been asked by friends how I knew creating Robinality was the right thing to do. Well, I am not so sure I knew Robinality was the right thing to do, but I do know that God was calling me to serve others specifically women in transition. I have always found much joy in mentoring. I discovered this passion in graduate school and continued mentoring throughout my career.
As my desire to serve women in this way grew, I spent a lot of time in prayer, reflection, and studying God’s word. God placed Isaiah 43:19 on my heart in this season: “Look, I am about to do something new. Now it begins to happen! Do you not recognize it? Yes, I will make a road in the desert and paths in the wilderness.”
This verse was a great comfort to me for a few reasons. I believed something new was happening. I had no idea what that something was, but I knew God would lead me.
I Knew God Would Lead Me
- I know God’s work never ends; He is constantly working to restore us.
- I know God is always creating new things for His people so we can serve.
No matter our age or season of life, renewal will come to all of us. Taking the first step should not be challenging with God’s lead — we are called to step out in faith boldly, knowing God is creating new things for us daily. He does all the work. All we need to do is believe.
I would love to hear about your first step, your next step, or about your something new God has been placed on your heart. Let’s dialogue in the comments below! Please remember to be kind and courteous when sharing comments on Robinality.
